Safe Practices for All (REMINDER)
Please continue to practice safe mitigation measures outside of school. Wear a face covering. Wash your hands with soap and water. Watch your physical distance, staying at least 6 feet from others. Please remember to keep your student home if they are not feeling well. All classwork and testing can be made up at a future date.
We’re Hiring
The success of any future changes in the learning mode will partially rely on the availability of additional staff. We have multiple jobs posted for lunchroom aides and paraprofessionals. More information can be found HERE
Batavia Foundation Grants for 2020-21
This past fall, the BFEE board approved the expenditure of $21,000 for teacher grants. They wanted schools, including Batavia’s Virtual Academy, to have immediate access to these funds .in order to enhance hybrid and remote learning. BFEE is pleased to announce that these funds were put to great use! They put together an infographic to highlight how the funds were utilized across all schools. The staff was greatly appreciative for the generous donations, and some of the feedback can be found on the BFEE website.
From the PTO:
Community Event – WE’VE GOT GUS!
This 2 week-long event will have you visiting some of our favorite local businesses to share our school spirit! AGS/EC students, and their favorite adults and siblings, are invited to join in showing off their GUS around Batavia.
We’ll visit participating businesses on a fun Seek n’ Find adventure. Mini pictures of Gus and Bitty are hidden at participating businesses, it’s your job to find them and ask the business to stamp your game card. (Remember to Give respect, Use safety, and Share responsibility).
Print a game card for each of your AGS/EC students (including AGS students attending BVA) and get started!
Then invite friends and family to donate to the AGS/EC PTO. Your student will have the opportunity to earn SpiritWear for their fundraising efforts, as well.
