The Early Childhood Center of Batavia (ECC) is the newest addition to the facilities of District 101. Opened in September of 2008, the ECC is the instructional home for approximately 120 children ages 3 to 5 years.
Throughout the year staff members of the ECC conduct screening activities designed to discover youngsters eligible to receive services at the Center. Children with identified needs are offered assistance from skilled and certified special education professionals. Many children receive concentrated support in language development as walk-in students, while the needs of others are best met through daily attendance in one of the early childhood classrooms of the Center.
